Void Jumper
With the threat of a mass extinction event looming over your planet, you are in control of a generation ship which is taking some of your planets richest people to a new home on the other side of the galaxy in an attempt to save your species. The theme comes in to it as the ship has to pass through vast voids of space to reach the next planet in its journey.
At the start of the week it felt like this would be the first Wild Jam entry that I would fully complete but unfortunately I still ran out of time to get everything working correctly, so a few things were cut at the last minute (like cargo management and a better unrest system).
I'm open to any feedback/criticism, and I also don't like the name so if anyone has a better idea for it let me know!
For a brief guide:
You win by getting to the final planet, it should be the 6th that you travel to.
You lose if everyone on your ship dies.
People can die if you run out of food, or from violence caused by the level of unrest getting too high.
Minerals can be mined on uninhabitable planets, while planets with life have shops where you can buy food, fuel and upgrades, and sell minerals.
In the tradition of my previous Wild Jam entries the main difficulty you will face is questionable balancing, meaning that it may end up being boringly easy or, alternatively, frustratingly impossible.
